TM2 Server Guide

This guide is operational only if using Manialive in combination with RemoteCP. Otherwise use the search function to get the tuts!
The current TM2-Server is Beta-Software, so some settings are different from the old Forever-Servers. Read this Guide to learn how to make the major settings on your server.

Most important things....
Please make sure that you keep all used files (maps...) on your local machine to have a ready-to-use backup in case of a new installation.
Ingame Admin Commands
The servers are currently using ManiaLive in combination with the MLEPP-Plugins. Here you can find a list of all available chat commands: http://code.google.com/p/mlepp/wiki/commandlist
Beta-Admin Guide
Changing the Server / Gamesettings
Go to the Admin-Panel, then klick the Tab RemoteCP. Now login with the information that you have seen before at the Admin-Panel.
Uploading Tracks
Go to the Admin-Panel, and select the Tracks and Challenges-Tab. Now upload the tracks you like. Thereafter save the tracklist, to that you can reload it with one click after a crash/restart.
Changing the Game-Mode
Sometimes changing the Game-Mode (Time-Attack, Team,...) has no effect when this was done via RemoteCP. In this case changing the Game-Mode must be done ingame by typing /admin set server gamemode XXXXX. Replace XXXXX by the Game-Mode. For TimeAttack, use ta (Example: /admin set server gamemode ta). Thereafter please visit the Tracks and Challenges-Tab at the Admin-Panel and save the current tracklist again.
Saving/Loading the Tracklist
Go to the Tracks and Challenges-Tab at the Admin-Panel. Here you can save the current list and load the latest saved list with one click.

Administration
- Game-Mode
- Time-Attack: /admin set server gamemode ta
- Team: /admin set server gamemode team
- Laps: /admin set server gamemode laps
- Rounds: /admin set server gamemode rounds
- Cup: /admin set server gamemode cup
- Time-Attack Timelimit 5 Minutes
/admin set ta timelimit 5:00 - Set server password to test
/admin set server password test Spectator-Password: /admin set server specpassword test - Remove server password
/admin set server password Spectator-Password: /admin set server specpassword - Set player slots to 50
/admin set server maxplayers 50 Do not set the value greater than 50, otherwise the server may crash!
Voting
- /replay callvote for replay
- /skip callvote for skip
- /restart callvote for restart
Music & Servermods
Due to the beta stage of the Serversoftware, these features are not available yet.
