Restarting the server

A restart could be necessary if you change the settings or to get a server back to life after a crash.

What happens if you restart the server?

At a restart you will have the out of the box-experience, which means your server will be set up like a new one. After that either the last backup will be recovered or the server will be left in its state. At a restart all configuration set up new so that you get a working server in any case.

How do i do a restart?

At first visit the Admin Panel of your server and select the tab Reset. Choose the type of reset and confirm it. The server will restart now. This procedure normally doesn't last longer than 10 minutes. If you are using Xaseco, the servertool starts with a delay of 5 minutes (for technical reasons).

What can i do if the server is unreachable after a restart?

The first step is trying to restart the server again. If this doesn't help, please contact the support to get the server back online. The Support is only available at the regular business times, which you can see at trackmaniaserver.org/support.
