The FreeZone was invented by NADEO in late 2010. Since this main change of the game, players who use the free version of Trackmania (TMNF) can only drive on FreeZone Servers or have to make some complicated settings to join other servers. But the FreeZone also has some advantages. Due to the low amount of them, theyre always full.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MATCHING THE RULES

A requirement for running a FreeZone-Server is, that players of the free Trackmania-Version are forced into Spectator-Mode (short Spec) after 5 rounds for 1 complete track. During this time, the players are not allowed to chat. Due to the fact that Xaseco runs beside the required Servertool "ManiaLive", you must make some important settings to match the rules made by NADEO.

Notice: Normally FreeZone-Servers should run the ManiaLive-Servertool only. As long as Xaseco does not influence the functionality of ManiaLive in a negative way, the use of Xaseco is allowed to. Anyway, if you do not manage matching the rules with both servertools, or if you want to run ManiaLive only, you can query the Support for disabling Xaseco on your server. If you want to use Xaseco, you must make the following settings:

Disabling the Chat for Players that are forced to Spec:

If the chat is still visible to players that are forced to spec, go to the Xaseco-Tab and disable all plugins except of Records Eyepiece and restart the server.

Check your server frequently for matching the rules. Check if the servertools still do what they should do - Otherwise restart the server.

Please note

After starting the server with FreeZone the fist time, it can take 24 hours until Nations-Players can join. That mostly happens when the NADEO-API is really busy. In this case have a little patience and use the time to check if you entered the correct API-Key.
